Elizabeth Bynum

For more than 20 years, Elizabeth Bynum has either trained, competed, taught, or choreographed styles of dance from ballet, jazz, tap and broadway to hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary, clogging and pom. Elizabeth was a member of the nationally-ranked UNC Chapel Hill Dance Team throughout her undergraduate years, dancing at all home football and men's basketball games before competing at the NDA College Nationals every April in Daytona Beach. In Elizabeth's senior year at UNC, she was also named Captain and All-American. Before college, Elizabeth was a member of the Premier Company at Premier School of Dance in Cary, North Carolina. She was also Captain of the Apex High School Cheerleading squad in Apex, North Carolina, where she began her love of coaching and choreographing. That coaching and choreographing continued throughout college and after college at various cheer and dance camps, as well as at dance studios in the Triangle area and in her hometown where she helped start, coach, and choreograph the inaugural year of the Apex High School Dance Team. Elizabeth now calls Oak Island home with her husband, Benjamin, son, Macon, and Chocolate Lab, Bodie. In addition to dancing, she loves traveling, photography, going to the beach, listening to music or true crime podcasts, dad jokes, yummy foods, and of course - spending time with her family and friends.
